We’re back, with the highlights of our inbox in this weird liminal space between Thanksgiving and December! Is it the holiday season yet? Can we get away with putting up Christmas lights before December 1st? Who can say?
But what we can do is tell you who blew us away in the inbox this month! Without further ado, here are our top email picks from November 2023.
TUSHY
Subject line: Take your throne to the next level

Abigail says: I’ve been giggling at TUSHY’s emails ever since I signed up for them. This email is a great example of why: attention-grabbing headline, clever copy that engages throughout, and a cute footer that brings just a touch of humanity and humor literally everywhere possible.
Hearth Display
Subject line: My family has already changed
Angie says: This campaign for Hearth Display was a visually intriguing email experience with great designs, engaging value-based content, and clear expectations for a product taking pre-orders/timelines. This is a great way to highlight a product launch and drive excitement to have subscribers order theirs before they have to wait for the next pre-order (later next year).
Jackson’s Art
Subject line: The Story of Manganese Violet
Hannah says: Jackson’s Art Supplies does a great job of showcasing large visuals of their products which makes me want to open every email. I originally came across a video series of theirs on Instagram called Pigment Stories and I love that they include a GIF of one of the videos that corresponds to the content of the email.
Allbirds
Subject line: Up To 50% Off Gifts For Your Whole Flock
Tracie says: This email stood out to me in my inbox because Allbirds used clever, on-brand wordplay in their subject line: “Up To 50% Off Gifts For Your Whole Flock.” They continued to use more puns in a secondary section of the email that says, “Come duck into one of our stores” to encourage folks to shop in-store. I thought this was a nice way to both promote their e-commerce and retail channels to get their shopping done. At the bottom of the email, they also included the store address that’s closest to me. I loved that little bit of personalization!
Stay tuned for next month!
