Father Day 2022 is on Sunday, June 19th. That means you have about a week and a half to think up something great for dad. I’ve sent for one of those sweatshirts that has an avatar of the dad and each kid in the family with the words, Dear Dad, Great Job, We’re Awesome. Thank You. Hope my brothers like it as they add other offerings.
So, I’ve had several comments on the Father’s Day Lists — like “Please add in some ‘regular’ stuff, not just tech stuff.” I will try to add in regular stuff — although our young office dads disagree. My dad is older and not a techie at all — but he has seemed please through the years with anything tech.
Here are a couple of other links for lists:

–Exciting Dad Gifts — and One to Get for Yourself
In the last Father’s Day list a week ago, our boss here at ReadWrite — Brad Anderson — told of some gifts he’s gotten for his dad in the past. Brad is a blast and a kicking lot of fun around here and thinks of the best gifts. Take a look at his post —Exciting Dad Gifts — and One to Get for Yourself
Here are a few more items and ideas to think about for gifts as you are Aware Dad’s Day is Coming
— Look at these lists for gifts you need to get for other occasions for men, including dad.
1. Cangshan S Series BBQ Knife Set
I have a lot of trouble with knife sets. I’ve moved many times in my life and every time I move, I lose knives — go figure. One thing is certain — I’ve tried a lot of knives. I would like to have all my knives match and they don’t. The Cangshan S Series has several different sets you can look at. Buy one for dad and then add to his set through the years.
2. Scosche MagicMount Charge4 Car Mobile Mount
This is a nice little mount for your phone. It doesn’t slip off — and doesn’t leave a mark. The mount also charges your phone which is a life saver for most people — and anyone who rides in your car.
3. Pantastic Dog Treats
If dad gets another dog I’m going to smash my toe with a hammer. Okay — so I won’t do that — but how many treats is enough for a dog? These are a nice treat for the dogs. I like that they are freeze-dried — so they don’t stink up the car. No added colors, flavors, preservatives, salt, sugar, or anything else — just meat. Nice.
4. Dollar Shave Club
I haven’t heard of even one person that doesn’t love this service. Fantastic idea and FUN. Dad, hubby, or boyfriend will love this product. It’s everything you need to change everything about the way you shave. From exfoliation to hydration even to shaving storage and transportation.
5. Ooni Karu 12 Multi Fuel Outdoor Pizza Oven
I have had one of these pizza ovens for years — and still love it. I’ve also loaned it out to many people and no longer try to keep it really clean for that reason. This oven is portable and can be moved around. The Ooni Pizza Oven will level up your pizza game and everyone loves it.
6. Nikon Trailblazer Waterproof Binoculars
A nice little pair of binoculars. They maximize light transmission for a brighter view and improved color. Water and fog proof. Rubber armored body.
7. Proud Grill Connect BBQ Tool Set
Nice stainless steel design. Spatula and fork connect to use as tongs and server. Premium BBQ utensil and grill accessory.
8. Verveculture Artisan Citrus Small Juicer
This is such a beautiful little juicer for your countertop. It’s just so pleasant to juice your own juice. It’s perfect for small juicer items like lemons, limes, and oranges. So easy on your hands, yet hard on your fruit. Get it for dad, but mom will use it as well.
9. Whirlyboard Balance Training
This item is one of the biggest hits in the office. We have several different types. This whirlyboard is a little harder than the other boards we have — but we love it. For instance, on other boards, you can stand on work on them. This Whirlyboard you’ll use when you take a break. We use the Whirlyboard to gain balance, and now, someone stands on it when anyone is talking and we hold light-ish weights. Of course — any kid comes into the office — this is the first thing they go for. Fun for dad — but fun for the whole family.
10. Proud Grill HeatShield Glove
What daughter hasn’t loaned their beautiful flowered kitchen mitt gloves to dad — and he returns them with black smears on them — or even better — they have a hole burned in them. Well no more. Get dad his own pair of Proud Grill HeatShield Gloves for his home — and then buy yourself a pair for when dad comes over. Really a classy-looking oven mitt for dad, I use mine too.
11. Marpac Dohm Classic White Noise Machine
Oh, the white noise machine. I wouldn’t be caught dead anywhere without mine. I take it everywhere even traveling to other companies. Hiking in the Amazon? My white noise machine goes with me. No hotel noise and party disturbances to wake you. I was introduced to this little beauty when a sleep expert suggested it for training children to sleep all night. Well, mama, dada, and grammy all use one now too.
12. Jumper Cable Flashlight
Someone bought me this flashlight for a gift and it is the greatest little product. I got one for my dad for the holiday last December, and he loves it. I leave this flashlight jumper cable in my car. Funny quick story — I’ve had a friend call me when her car wouldn’t start because she remembered I had this in my car and had stopped to help someone at the store when we were together. Yeah, nice item to keep in your car. Gives you about three tries and you can charge it on the go in another car if needed.
Here’s a list of a few things a friend sent me that I haven’t had time to get and review — but these items might give you some ideas for dad — as they did for me!
