Email Marketing – The Email Habits of Gen Z Workers


Despite the availability of other tools like messaging, email is Gen Z’s top choice for workplace communication, according to recent research from ZeroBounce.

The report was based on data from a survey of nearly 1,400 Gen Z workers (born between 1997 and 2012) in Canada, Europe, and the United States.

Some 42% of respondents say email is their favorite communication tool for professional purposes, compared with 20% who say apps, such as Slack, are their favorite.

Gen Z workers say the most confusing things about using email at work are figuring out how formal to be (57% cite it as an issue) and when to follow up (51%).

Some 35% of respondents say AI tools make email management somewhat more efficient.

Most (53%) respondents say they sign off on their emails with a simple “Thanks.”
