Instagram Continues Its Experiment With Notes, A Feature Favorite Among Teen Users

Not every Instagram user is familiar with the Notes feature of Instagram in the inbox. Further, many users familiar with the feature consider it to be a minor element that does not need much attention. However, Instagram is continuously exploring different ways to use Notes, and there is a reason behind Instagram’s focus on this feature.

Though considered to be a minor element, Instagram Notes is one of the most popular features of the platform among teen users. Teen users are engaging with this feature ten times more in comparison to users of other age groups. So, Instagram is trying to emerge as the new cool app among youngsters.

With the new tests of Notes by Instagram, you will now be able to add Notes to your profile. The notes will be there on your profile for three days. Further, thanks to the new feature, the “mutual follows” will now be able to leave comments on the Notes. So, “Notes” now can be the new way to engage new users on the platform and initiate communication among fellow users.

Instagram is also trying to incorporate its Notes features everywhere it can. Recently, the social media platform has come up with a display of Notes in the feeds. When Notes was launched a year back, Meta projected Notes as a tool for “sharing your thoughts.” This year, Instagram is working on how it can be implemented in various ways.

Let’s have a look at what Meta had to say when Notes was launched.“We’re beginning to roll out Notes, a new way to share your thoughts and see what your friends are up to. Notes are short posts of up to 60 characters using just text and emojis. To leave a note, go to the top of your inbox, select the followers you follow back or people on your Close Friends list, and your note will appear at the top of their inbox for 24 hours. Replies to notes will arrive as DMs in your inbox.”
