After their amazing performance at the 2019 festival, BLACKPINK is to create history by being the first K-Pop group to perform as the headlines at Coachella.
The members of the gang, Jisoo, Lisa, Jennie, and Rose, just released their album Born Pink in 2022. After its release, the girl group started their world tour to promote their album.
Frank Ocean (Sunday, April 16)
Back in 2020, after winning a Grammy for his album Blonde in 2016, but due to COVID, the festival was canceled, Frank Ocean couldn’t perform that year.
But Paul Tollett, the co-founder of Coachella, predicted that Ocean was surely gonna perform in 2023, and that turned out to be true.
Tollett said, “Right now, it’s the Wild West. I’m just trying to be as fair as I can to artists and to the fans to make sure that eventually they get to see everyone that we talked about.”
Blink-182 (Sunday, April 23)
It was announced that Frank Ocean is getting replaced by Blink-182 for the spot of the main headliner on weekend 2 of Coachella 2023.
The band surprised their fans after reuniting with the original lineup of Tom DeLonge, Mark Hoppus, and Travis Baker. It is about a decade since the original lineup played together.
Vocalist and guitarist Tom DeLonge joined the band after leaving in 2015 and wrote on Instagram, ”From break ups, to plane crashes, to cancer… Blink182 is fucking back. We’ve only just begun to offend. Ya can’t cancel this shiiiiittttt.”
Bad Bunny (Friday, April 14 & April 21)
The Puerto Rican singer is going to be the first fully Spanish dialect artist to headline this festival. Bad Bunny was given the Friday slot of the event.
He also released the most popular album in 2022, with his latest album Un Verano Sin Ti, which completely sold out 65 stadium tours.
Although sources told Billboards, “Titi Me Pregunta singer will be taking a long-deserved break this year after the performance.”
Bad Bunny told the publication, “I’m taking a break. 2023 is for me, for my physical health, ny emotional health to breathe, enjoy my achievements. We’re going to celebrate. Let’s go here, let’s go there, let’s go on the boat. I have a couple of sporadic commitments, and I’ll go to the studio, but there’s no pressure. Remember yourself, cabron. You’ve worked your ass off.”

Rumored 2023 Coachella Headliners
It was rumored that Rihanna was going to headline at Coachella. This rumor spread from the Instagram account DeuxMoi; the post said, “Love on the Brain singer is performing at the Super Bowl Half-Time Show in February 2023 and could headline Coachella as well.”
Fans have been waiting for a long time for new music from Rihanna; she even said to AP that, “If I’m going to leave my baby, I’m going to leave my baby for something special.”
Then dismissing the rumors, RiRi said, “That’s not true, Super Bowl is one thing. New music is another thing. Do you hear that fans?” “The second that I announced this, I said, Oh my God, they’re going to think my album is coming. I need to get to work.”
