Gautam Adani became the fourth richest person on Earth after the shares of Gautam Adani and Family soared to an all-time high on 27 April. This is a significant milestone for the Indian coal juggernaut that crossed Mukesh Ambani to become the wealthiest Indian right now.
At 4 pm IST on 27 April, Adani blazed past other billionaires like investment guru Warren Buffet and Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin. His net worth increased to $129 billion, beating out Microsoft founder Bill Gates by $4 billion, which he gained in a single day.
This achievement took place after he authorized the paid-up share capital of AMG Media Network by 1,000,000 each to carry out business operations related to media publishing.
He Added Two-Thirds To His Wealth In 2022 Alone
While Gautam Adani and Family was already a ruptured business, his entry into the list of the top ten wealthiest people was nothing short of spectacular.
It has been estimated that he alone made $50 billion in 2022. At the end of 2021, his net worth was around $78 billion.
On the other hand, his competitors ahead of him – Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Bernard Arnault, and Bill Gates (currently tied with Adani) – all saw a drop in their net worth, with Arnault losing the most with a loss of $4 billion.
It has been estimated that if Gautam Adani and his Family continue their bull run in the stock market, he could very well become the richest person on Earth in no time. Furthermore, it has been estimated that if fortune is on his side, he may very well beat Arnault to become the third richest person on Earth by the end of this month.
